Birthday

43 years ago Kristofer John Stewart arrived on scene.  And as I ponder Psalms 139 and think about his life, I am in awe of the story that God has written for my love.  Before Kit even drew his first breath God knew what his 43rd year would hold.  God designed him perfectly to be my partner in life, and the daddy our children would need.  God knew exactly which parts of His very own nature Kit would demonstrate for the people in his life.  In the 19 years that I have known him I have been blessed to be the recipient of his love.  God has taught me more about Him through my husband.

Kit loves with a deep restful love.  When you are blessed to be loved by him, there is security and comfort to be found there.  He is greatly tender-hearted.  Yes, he may be a large man in frame, but he is tender and gentle in the way he holds hearts.  He is comfortable with the person he is.  Other peoples lives may turn his interest, but never uproot his security in who God created him to be.  He serves others and he perceives their needs very well.  He is glad to serve, and his joy comes from the act of serving, and not from the recognition.  If no one knows that he has done a kind thing, he's actually usually happier about it.  He thinks long before speaking, and speaks very little in comparison to the thoughts he mulls over.  He is strong, physically and mentally, and yet he is also fragile, as we all are.  Endurance is often long for him, even in brokenness. He is diligent and works hard at any project he undertakes.  He is patient.  (Trust me, 6 kids, home school, and a fairly high maintenance wife....the man is patient.)

No he is not perfect, but through out our marriage I have wondered if there are angel wings hiding from my sight.  I admire him.  I have never been more thankful for his birthday, than this year.  The year that I thought he was gone from me, but was given to me once again.
